Recorder online

You know, since I got myself a new job, I have had a little trouble adding new content to this very precious archive of mine. I still mark stuff on Google as I do my daily browsing, though, and this Starred feed grew longer and longer over time. Google has yet to work on a lot of things there. It's just not suitable for later review.

So last week, I built myself a new platform which will aid where Google's awesomeness ends. Besides grabbing, tagging (OpenCalais), flagging and sorting all the marked items from my Reader account, it also features a bookmarklet to record stuff I didn't find via RSS, but by randomly browsing teh interwebz.

You might envision it as the second filter of my web-awareness. A filter for what I'd like to read and evaluate later. Also, a lot of things arel not visible to anonymous visitors (namely, the audio/visual content which is going to end up here) but if you are interested, head over to and check it out.

Status: Away

Hello folks,

as the very few people regularly reading this blog have already noticed, it has been a little quiet around here, lately. It's not that I don't have new content, it's just that I don't have time to crawl and release all the stuff. And if you have as much feeds subscribed as I do, you know how much time this TV-like hobby demands. As a matter of fact, there are more interesting things than browsing the web, despite the sweets it has to offer.

Anyway, as I am trying to get other jewels on track, it's going to stay that quiet for a little longer.
Not too long, though ... I promise.

Server upgrade

That was one hell of a day! Since I recently hit the limits of my hosting package in terms of disk space, I decided to upgrade to a 50 GB solution. Additionally, my old server was running on a SuSE distribution which had a lot of flaws. So today I finally installed a fresh Ubuntu and tried to migrate all the data from this (and other) domains. It was a real pain in the ass and it took much longer than expected, but anyway, here it is, running fine again!

The other news: I got a few new Issues and the Media section is back again. Yay!

Bye bye, media ..

As some of my beloved readers might remember, originally started with the issues only. After a few months I got a bit lost and I decided to open the media section for the regulars, so they could enjoy the fresh stuff the time it comes in.

Lately though, I've found myself arranging new media in the way I used to make up the issues. I guess I just love to put pictures in a new context. Fellow RSS users, bloggers and tumblrs know that reading, saving and posting stuff is quite a bitch when it comes down to hours sitting in front of the screen. Rearranging takes even more time and I realized that the archive is just not the place for doing this. That being said — issues or media, one of them just had to go.

Wait, what?

The media section is closed until further notice. Images, videos and RSS feeds stay online, though. Furthermore, all content I add to the archive remains public, so if you want to link, repost or show stuff to friends, you are welcome. I pledge to reopen media when the dust has settled and the archive is mixed up again.

Till then, enjoy the sun Eye

Site improvements and changes

Now that this site is online for about 2 months, I decided to open a new category, which is more frequently updated than the issues. As you can see in the right sidebar, you are now able to browse all the latest media actually being added to the site, including images, videos and audio files (the very base of every issue).

Notice for RSS users

There is also a slight change in the RSS address architecture. Please subscribe to the new paths (for instance /browse/all/rss) as soon as possible, since the old ones (i.e. /rss.xml/*) will be put out of service on October the 1st, 2009.

The All New Shared Items

Okay, all this Google Shared Items crap is over now. I realized that it will take forever to port these items from Google. As some people already suggested, regurlarly increasing the item number is not about to make it any better if I really intend to host it myself. So fuck it

You can still browse the old stuff on Google by visiting, but there will be no further updates.

Here is the deal

From now on I am maintaining a similar RSS blog at It's still an early version with just the basic features, but I already have some ideas about future improvements, don't worry. Feel free to change your bookmarks and feed subscriptions..

Bye bye, Google.

In the meantime ..

Well, well, I am still porting my Shared Items to this site and it seems it'll take some more time as you might have guessed already. Nonetheless, I've managed to sew a tiny new dress for my Google page which is online at

The move .. finally

Right, still no site to browse here. Anyway, this very day I am gonna move to my new flat! Time to shut this workstation down, I guess. I'll be back soon (to port stuff from Google, of course). Meanwhile, you can still browse my Shared Items ..

P.S.: The "Druckerfestival Czentrifuga" exhibition opens tomorrow. Being part of the Money Printing Contest, I would be glad to meet you there, too. Date: April the 30th, 2009, starting 6pm / Location: The Czentrifuga (Mariannenplatz 21, Kreuzberg, Berlin, Germany).

Allright, I am done for today. Everything fine, so good night (hi) ..

This site ain't ready, right?

Easy, easy, ladies and gentlemen, I am close to finish my work on the layout of this site and I am already moving and rearranging all the stuff from Google. I intend to open this site probably on Monday, February 23 some day in March (I had exams last weeks and now there is a lot of work in my job), just in case you like to stop by again.
